Jupiter and Io

This marvelous series of photographs of Jupiter and one of it’s moons, Io, was captured by Alessandro Bianconi in Italy recently.

(Yes, I have Mr. Bianconi’s permission to use his copyrighted image here on my blog.)

Just want to share with those who may not be addicted to Nasa’s Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD) the way I am.  APOD is the first thing I look at after awakening my computer every morning.
